Whether that guess is confirmed or not, and you will be correct two thirds of the time, you are now positioned to subsequently reveal the word they have been secretly focusing on.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIt does not feel as though enough information has been given for the performer to know anything. There are no billets, no writing, no physical compromise, no key words, and no obvious fishing process. The spectator does not need to verbalize key words or answer a string of questions. They can remain almost entirely silent, and in one presentation, they never need to say anything out loud. Everything is justified by the visualization process itself.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe method is hidden inside the presentation, and the presentation gives life to the method. The two are so closely interwoven that there is no visible seam between them. It does not feel like a system dressed up as mind reading. It feels like the absence of a system altogether.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn a matter of seconds, with almost no procedure other than the visualization process itself and the performer checking their impressions, the performer gains what is essentially a billet-less mental peek, a secret glimpse of the information needed to be able to subsequently reveal the spectator's thought-of word.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIt can also be used as a wider utility whenever you need to gain information secretly, cleanly, and deceptively.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWhat has changed is not the overall aim, but the route in. The supporting principles remain powerful and familiar, but the way the crucial first piece of information is obtained has been completely restructured and redesigned, allowing you to get down to a single letter immediately. This shift makes the entire effect feel more natural and theatrically justified, more direct, and more impossible.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIt is difficult not to overstate just how strong and significant a breakthrough this method is, or to fully explain why it is so powerful without tipping too much. This method does not utilize any key words or naming of impressions as words, but still manages to make possible the performance of effortless mind reading using nothing but language and presentation. But I must say, this will fool everyone - including 'the boys' - literally so hard that it is most gratifying.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eI know that some of you reading this are getting impatient, so let me show you, or more accurately, \u003ci\u003ehave you show yourself\u003c\/i\u003e exactly what this looks like.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eGo get your Sight Unseen Case and an old playing card. I'll wait. If you don't have an SUC, you're about to kick yourself (and what are you thinking, anyway?) And BTW, this doesn't work with any of the hybrid wallets and such that have incorporated the SUC design over the years.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis \u003ci\u003eonly works\u003c\/i\u003e with the SUC.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003ci\u003eRemove everything you have in the SUC. Fold the playing card into quarters and put it into a pocket in your SUC, sticking out of the pocket so that you can see it clearly when the case is open. Take a deck of cards (imaginary in this case) and shuffle them thoroughly. Have a card selected from a deck. Have it signed. Shuffle it back into the deck. Make your mystical gesticulations and say your magic words. Now do this next part for real. Open your SUC that's sitting on the table, showing the card right where you left it. At this point, you would have your spectator remove it and unfold it; it's their signed card. That's what this looks like.\u003c\/i\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThat is just one possible scenario, and it's one that I use regularly in my close-up work.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe other scenario where I use this is in a mentalism context. I have an endless number of directions I can go with this, but I'll give you the barest bones of one. I take a business card and write something on the back of it, fold it up, and place it into my SUC, similar to the above scenario, so that it can be seen when the case is open. I close the case and ask my helper to name their first childhood pet. They name it. Is there any way I could possibly have known that? Of course not. The case is opened up, and there is my folded business card right where I left it. The spectator removes it, opens it, and reads the back. It has the name of their first pet written on it. They weep tears of joy at having witnessed such a miracle.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThese are but two possibilities with what I have here. The true possibilities are virtually endless.\u003cbr\u003eBut enough talk and vagueness.
