Charles and Ray Eames brought a sense of playfulness to midcentury design, imbuing everyday objects with unexpected joy. Our second edition of Eames Playing Cards embraces this approach with a celebration of their iconic Hang-It-All wall rack.

The first thing you'll notice is the jubilant color palette of the early 1950s. The visual motif is a clear homage to the stick and ball components of the original design. However, in adapting the Hang-It-All to a new form, we made a surprising discovery.

When traditional playing card symbols are replaced with numerals, the result is more logical and visually cohesive. So, inspired by the rebellious spirit Ray and Charles were famous for, we decided to ditch the aristocracy entirely and adopt a more minimalist approach. You will not find any Kings or Queens in this deck; the cards are simply numbered 1-13, a subtle but gently revolutionary gesture that we've never attempted before.

But now, we can't help wondering why this clarity eluded us for so long. Every time we shuffle the pack and juggle the colorful balls, we're reminded of the Eames' enthusiasm to defy the gravity of expectations and embrace a spirit of exploration.

These two new versions of the display shelves are similar to our previous display stands that were very popular with card collectors and magicians alike. Please allow me to introduce once again, the flat-pack and easy to assemble feature of the display shelves.

We know of "The Ikea effect", which states that when people purchase and then assemble the item themselves, they develop an attachment or sense of pride to the product. "The Ikea effect" causes people to value the things that they built, customize, or construct themselves more highly than premade, finished products.

We have also incorporated this into our product. After several trials and prototypes, TCC PRESENTS designed this display stand so that it packs flat and can be repeatedly assembled and disassembled.

You will receive a notebook-sized package and through simple assembly, transform it into a display stand dedicated to your playing card collection or gimmicked decks.

The difference from our previous display stands is that we have adjusted the display orientation to cater to different display preferences. When the Display shelves are assembled, the face of the tuck box now faces forwards, for you to appreciate your playing cards in all their glory.

This design also allows for room to fit slightly oversized and thicker tuck boxes to be displayed as well.

Apart from placing the shelf on your desk and against the wall, there are four pre-drilled holes to mount the display shelf on the wall. This allows for flexibility and is an integral part of creating your very own playing card display corner.

In January of 2018 we met with Sean Wotherspoon, Nicolai Marciano and Jason Ward to discuss the GUESS Farmers Market The Farmers Market was to be a combination of a street fair, a music venue, and streetwear pop-ups.

Sean invited Chinatown Market, Carrots, Sandal Boyz, Pleasures, Pintrill and Fontaine to be the brands to collaborate on GUESS products exclusive to the event. As everyone else was making clothes, we focused on making a unique and colorful deck of Fontaines.

We make 6 designs, and Sean chose the design that is the GUESS Fontaine made into existence. The deck features all the colors of the Farmers Market: Green Apple, Pineapple Yellow, Organic Orange, Portenho Pink, Purple Dragonfruit and Winter White.

Each ace features a different fruit: Grapes, Apple, Pineapple and Straberry. The ad cards feature the GUESS Farmers Market logo, the GUESS Produce graphic and 2 full-bleed art cards featuring pears and strawberries.

In Autumn 2022, we ran a successful Kickstarter campaign for a new series of Butterfly Playing Cards, the Workers Edition. The classic Butterfly design is now surrounded by a white border.

Thanks to their versatility, bordered playing cards are still the main choice among magicians. They work great in sandwich and triumph effects and help conceal multiple card turnovers.

The foundation of the Butterfly Workers line-up are the Red and Blue decks. We printed these with Cartamundi on their slimline stock with true linen B9 finish for consistency with the rest of Butterfly Playing Cards.

The faces feature a classic USPC design with an adjusted color scheme and are one-way. All four Aces carry big center floral pips.

Every deck comes with an instructional card and a link to a 30-minute tutorial. It explains the marking system and offers ideas for tricks with marked cards. Every deck also includes a double-backer.

There were 3.000 decks printed of both Red and Blue Butterfly Workers.
